In the race of life there comes a defining moment and a separation zone, where the strong refires, but the Not-So-Strong tires out; where Tenacity, Faith and Courage keeps the brave moving, but the Not-So-Brave draws back or drops out. Persistence wins!
Persistence is the toughness that keeps you moving when life’s journey gets rough, tough and ugly. Persistence is the power to stay put until you win. Persistence never quits! When the race of life translates from anticipated sprint into unexpected and wearisome long distance race, persistence is what gets you to the finishing line.
In Judges 8:4, the Bible speaks of Gideon and his 300 men, they were faint yet they kept pursuing till they prevailed. That’s persistence!
Faith and Persistence go hand in hand, and Persistence is meaningless without Faith. For believers of Christ, life is a journey of Faith and Persistence. God would never have started you on the journey if he thought you couldn’t make it.
Hebrews 10:38-39 says “Now the just shall live by faith; but if anyone draws back, my soul has no pleasure in him. But we are not of those who draw back to perdition, but of those who believe to the saving of the soul”
Christ in you makes all the difference! Faithful is he that called you who also will do it! And you can do all things through Christ who strengthens you (Phil. 4:13). Arise therefore in the name of Jesus Christ and put on strength! You are built to last! You are more than a starter, you’re a finisher! Receive “continuity and finishing” grace for every stagnant project in your life! Nothing shall derail your journey of faith! You will not miscarry your destiny! You will not be numbered among them that perish in the wilderness. Now rise up and receive supernatural strength for the journey in the name of Jesus! By God’s grace, you will surely get there and it will end in triumph!
